The DGmag - Bring Out The Funny

 Issue: 70

Released: 29th August 2020

Hello DGmag readers. Notice anything new about DGmag? That would be correct if you have guessed rightly. I have indeed decided to draw my comics digitally. DGmag is now made using Procreate on an iPad Pro as well as PowerPoint for the main body structure. So now only some images and logos will be done in GIMP.

And boy what a difference my new iPad Pro makes. Doesn't the comic just feel slicker and better? The text too, can be altered and changed if need be in each strip. The main text used is one that I've built myself for my work and DGmag only.

The main look is still very much my style, but the new digital twist adds something a bit different that wasn't there before. The ability to copy sections of images, the ability to create a PNG image of a character. All things that originally weren't that possible unless I had drawn them in PowerPoint using shape vectors. But now, wow!

But what do YOU think? Do you like the new update to DGmag? Let me know by going to the comment section at the main DGmag website thedgmag.weebly.com, and leave your replies to the new look of my drawing style.

Enjoy. Dominic Davis your Editor

What a cover this is folks.

"Bath? What bath? Is that today?"

"Be careful sir. The cake is very hot!"

Careful that you don't get a square lightning bolt with that iPad now Jone.

Having a nightmare are we? Making yourself a hot chocolate now I see?

We didn't actually want to know that you needed a wee Hood,
but thank you for sharing that gross information anyway.

Ah yes. Flushing the loo too loud. That will get rid of your grandma for sure.

"And would sir like to try the expensive bottle of milk
to have alongside that hand of his?"

Perhaps one of the quickest baths ever taken.

The cue for the toilet at that cafeteria must be pretty long now.

"Doughnut fret now Collin! Have a Digestion biscuit and tell me all about it."

I suppose that puts a new spin on the term "ice tea".

How toilet humoured and rude. I wouldn't read this comic!

I'm sorry but I don't speak baby language.

"I say! What a rude man."

I'm sure that "Ant Picnic" Silly Mum made is STILL too big...

The DGmag Meet Rick and Morty

So then. This DGmag's a weird one...

This issue isn't one themed towards children due to the subject matter and the TV show being an adult one shown by Adult Swim. It is worth mentioning however that this will perhaps be the strangest crossover DGmag I think I will have made yet. That shall be due to the fact that a children's comic is bumping into an adult cartoon TV show. Madness folks. Madness. Will I make more issues similar? Who knows? Who knows?...

But for any of you Rick and Morty fans out there I proudly present to you Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon's weird cartoon meeting up with my comic, it's only The DGmag meeting Rick and Morty!

And boy what a crossover this issue is! If you ever wondered what Rick and Morty would look like in my comic's universe than wonder no more. In an issue non canon to my other issues, (hence why it doesn't have an issue number) Rick has to obey his grandson Morty's wish to meet his favourite comic DGmag, and hence why they end up in the universe that is my wacky mind. But alas, for Rick and Morty's world is also wacky. So when both worlds meet up... Well, see for yourself in... DGmag Meet Rick and Morty!!

Enjoy the madness that shall proceed... Dominic Davis The Editor

"Wubba Lubba Dub Dubbbbbb!"

That's not how I remember the intro going.

"Y...You're a gud guy Domi-HIC!"

Even Morty Butthead deserves a signature signed DGmag.

"I've turned my grandson into a bouncy balllllllll.
He's Bouncy Ball Mortyyyyyyyy!!!"

They're even do The Fun Page now? What the heck?

Stranger Danger!

"Yeh yeh. He's about one now I do believe.
My baby grandson yeh!"

"C'mon down to real fake doooooooors!"

"Sugah Morty! She's angry Morty. Run Morty. Morty Morty!"

"Go on! Get lost! Have several DGmags
signed by me and leave, yeh?"

"This is the back cover Mortyyyyyyyy!!"
